What is ADHD?

This is what ADHD is…

Your child’s behaviours are unpredictable and no one in the family can agree as everyone is under stress from it and there are many arguments

Your child cannot go out and live a normal life – even a visit to the shops is a nightmare with everyone looking in condemnation and criticism.

No one at school really understands and all you keep getting is an endless stream of phone calls  to come and collect your child which means there is no break from the ADHD behaviour routine for you.

Your child is unhappy and not achieving.

Other children in the family are suffering.

Your partner is not working with you , only criticising or perhaps your relationship has  broken down altogether as a result of your child’s behaviour

Because you can’t go out, your child becomes more frustrated and the older and bigger they are getting the more damage they are doing in the house. It is getting to the stage where they cannot be contained and
the only thing you can do is to let them out and they are hanging around with other kids and getting into trouble, perhaps the police have already been involved.

Sounds familiar?

Well this is ADHD – not a word on a medical record that means ‘Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder’ or a prescription with ‘Ritalin’ on it , that can have some very strange side effects that make your child unable to sleep and affects their appetite.

This is really what ADHD is!

There is very little out there that  can help or do anything for it because no one really knows for sure what causes it – so if this is your child – you will already know what ADHD is!

Well, there is an answer and it is worth reaching for…. because deep down there inside your child and you can see him or her crying to come out, is a loving desperate little soul who is lacking confidence
because they do not know what it is like to succeed at much. Who cannot wind down and take time to chill out, who finds it difficult to make or hold onto  friends, whose parents are constantly stressed, who cannot
understand why they feel like they are in the fast lane and constantly being super glued to the chair – because that is what the nervous system feels like.
